Today, two editors of the Afro Newspaper in Baltimore join Tom to discuss the firing of Police Commissioner Kevin Davis and the hiring of his Deputy Commissioner Daryll DeSousa. Mayor Catherine Pugh announced this change-up last Friday citing her dissatisfaction with the city's high homicide rate. DeSousa, a 30-year veteran of the force, now inherits the challenges of his predecessor such as the ongoing Gun Trace Task Force scandal and the Consent Decree with the Department of Justice.Kamau High is the Managing Editor of the Afro Newspaper.
